The Salty Dog is simple, sharp, and unapologetically coastal. With just two ingredients and a salt-rimmed glass, it lets Mountains to Sea gin speak for itself — layered with horopito’s heat, manuka’s earthiness, and the briny echo of kelp.

Ingredients

  • 30ml Papaiti Mountains to Sea Gin

  • Fresh grapefruit juice (to top)

  • Ice cubes

  • Salt for the rim

How to Make It

  1. Run a slice of grapefruit around the rim of a stemless wine glass. Dip in flaky salt.

  2. Fill the glass with ice.

  3. Add Mountains to Sea gin.

  4. Top up with fresh grapefruit juice.

  5. Skip the garnish. Serve with sea breeze.

  • The ocean’s close, or you wish it were.
